  • 250 Grams Fresh Palak
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • ½ Inch Ginger
  • Water As per Requirment
  • 2 Onion
  • 1 Tomato
  • ½ Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • ¼ Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
  • ½ Tsp Red Chili Powder
  • ¼ Tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1Bay Leaf
  • 250gms Paneer
  • 2 Tbsp Cream
  • 1 Tbsp Oil
  • 2 Kasuri Methi
  • Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Rinse palak leaves well with water. Discard the tender stems and boil it with 3 cups of water in a pan
  2. Add ½ tablespoon of salt to hot water and stir it well
  3. Off the flame and close the lid
  4. Let the leaves sit in hot water for about 3 minutes and strain the leaves
  5. Transfer the leaves to a bowl that contain ice cold water as it helps to preserve the green color of the spinach
  6. Allow spinach leaves to be in cold water for a minute. Drain cold water and place the spinach in a blender or grinder jar
  7. Blend the leaves along with chopped ginger, garlic and green chilies
  8. Make them into smooth paste. Do not add water while making puree
  9. Place a pan on low flame and add oil to it
  10. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter
  11. Add bay leaf and finely chopped onions
  12. Saute them well till onions become golden brown in color
  13. Add finely chopped garlic cloves and saute till aroma of garlic goes away
  14. Now add chopped tomatoes to it and stir them well till they become soft
  15. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder and stir well
  16. Then add palak puree to it and stir well
  17. Add ½ cup of water and stir the mixture well
  18. Cook the mixture on low flame till palak cooks well
  19. Add paneer cubes to it and enough salt
  20. Add garam masala powder and stir them gently
  21. Cook the paneer mixture on low flame till the cubes become soft for about 3 minutes
  22. Add cream at the end and switch off the flame
